there's no reason to fear or to hope.
See the sky through your window
and the sea in your Heart,
the Wind is not crazy
O, the ancient one's art
is beyond all belief -
it's beyond you and me,
it's the whispering ripples in puddles I see.
I wait all day,
I dance a dance,
My thoughts take me,
I feel so entranced,
This slavery of mind,
I can't do it no more,
tried to tear off the door,
thought the hallway was poor,
so I stared at the floor and I cried.
Well, each night shall ensue
'neath a radiant moon
that's as old as the eyes.
That it shines it light through,
you and I are alive -
nothing to hold onto.
But we can't shake these Deep Cosmic Blues.
On this planet we're born,
in the midst of a storm.
Cast our last boat off shore,
then we started the War.

I feel so entranced,
This slavery of mind,

get the Deep Cosmic Blues when the whole world's just laughing at you?
So the sun does shine in a corner of time,
where the animals play
and the Earth does reside.
For an instant of Time,
there's an outburst of Life
as we Dance the Great Dance,
where the planets collide.
I've found my place within the great dance,
Earth, Sea and Sky: an ancient romance,
so bold and shy, you sing:
can't you see, oh my lord
the way everything forms
the way families are born
in the calm of a storm
how we all live and die
in mysterious times
how a child must cry
we must open our eyes!
hear the marching band sing
in the whistling spring breeze
gets you down on your eyes
damn, it's so humbling
when you know you could die
in an instant of time
all can ask is "why?"
there's no answer,
just look at the sky.
There's nowhere to hide,
